Welcome to the world of glass designer and my friend Eliška Monsportová.
]]>Exactly that tree I'm standing next to in the picture. A beautiful pine tree rooted in the rock. The view i would have! I could watch the clouds and the mist rolling down to the valley. I'd be curved and weather-beated just like this beauty.
I’ve noticed you spend a lot of time outside the city. Can you tell me what enchants you about mountains?
Literally everything. It's the lungs full of fresh and cool air, the slight tingling sensation, the scenery observing, sunrises and sunsets or the mist rolling down the hills. It's in the details of rocks, textures and plants. But primarily, I know it's the feeling of belonging and coexistence with the landscape. I'm fascinated by the feeling of smallness and by being reminded that you really are just a part of this bigger picture and it's inspiring to watch how the rest of the whole behaves...how they function... and what nature has created and how perfect it is.
Your connection to the nature..tell me where did it come from?
In my childhood I presume, because we spent most of our time in nature. Our parents would teach us how to behave in nature, how to cherish it and be respectful. I guess that's where the fascination begun, and it has been deepening with every trip and hike ever since. A trip to Pyrenees mountains has been a great milestone for me, to which I'm actually returning to this year. Also, Canadian forests that look like drawn from the Alice in Wonderland book.
Describe how your glassmaking process looks like? Are you one of those with very precise strategy or the mess floats all around?
An organised chaos, that's how I would describe it :) I am trying to establish order in everything I do but I always get to an unhinged phase of total mess during the process. It is there that things with soul and narrative are born. I always make room for accidents and improvisation, for experiments and playfulness. These are the aspects I combine with the clear thought out vision and work process. Many things I can do myself, and that makes me the labourer or craftsman for the most part if you will. In other cases, I tend to work with specialists in the necessary fields. Every product stays in my mind for a long period of time before I see a clearer picture and that order I was telling you about. Only then there's a place for chaos again :)
What do you like about clothes we made for you?
I feel more feminine and alive and sort of playful, colourful - literally - wearing your pieces and I'm enjoying that. The clothes are wonderfully fitting and that's something to say with my hight and lean frame.
I am learning to wear colours with TRK clothing and dare to be more playful, less serious, actually. I take it as way of mental support.

Welcome to the world of fashion design student and our intern Marek Matějka.
]]>MAREK
“I select my clothes based on how I feel in it, just like anybody else does”
Marek is one of the TRK interns and he was a part of the Linger in Joy collection's first men's looks. He modeled exactly those unisex looks as well as bags and shoppers, which he took the most part in creating.
“The best way to describe how I feel in Tereza's clothes is through an excerpt from a song called Hush Hush by @misspetty_p / I LOOK SEXY, I FEEL POWERFUL, TOTAL QUEEN, TOO LATE FOR YOU TO HATE ON ME./ And that's exactly how it is. Thanks to the colors, silhouettes, and the overall vibe, I was able to connect both my masculine and feminine sides and feel confident. The fear of not fitting in is suddenly gone, because the queen worries not about what other people think. This is what I love about TRK clothes. Anybody can adapt this approach and if you have the slightest of doubts, I strongly recommend this bright colored cure.”

Používám klasické olejové barvy a plátno.
Hlavně ať mě to baví :)
Kdyby jsi nemaloval, co by jsi dělal?
Napadlo tě někdy třeba přesahovat do jiných umělecko/designérských sfér?
Samozřejmě to naivní pak odpadne, no co už.. :D
Kdybych mohl vybral bych si tenhle život znova(S.Barracuda)
What do you love about TRK clothes?
I like their uniqueness, the fact that I know who designed them and that they have been made in the Czech Republic. From the creative point of view, I like Rosa's story behind each collection. For our Styling tips, I have chosen some of the clothes from Coloring of Species, a collection inspired by Africa's fauna and flora. I have travelled to Africa myself and the clothes remind me of my adventures there; they feel nice… familiar… I have made a connection with the clothes, which then got a whole new meaning.
What role does clothing play in your life?
It is a tool. Tool that helps me to express myself. It also helps me to alter my mood. Especially nowadays, when I mainly work from home. If I take the time to dress nicely in the morning, so that I feel good, it will reflect on my productivity.
Clothing is also a metaphorical chest, in which I keep my memories, as each piece of clothes is connected to a specific event in my life. I have a dress I wore to the opening of our Alaska pictures exhibition, or a scarf Rosa had given me before my trip to Africa, so that I could shoot some pictures there.
What is your opinion on the state of fashion in the Czech Republic and how people think about clothes?
I wish to see more people in the streets who think of clothes as a means of self-expression and use it that way. People who wear quality pieces and dare to be unique. People who, with their choice of clothes, inspire me to personally grow.
1. To work and for a walk: Wave top, Matylda pockets and jeans. I feel super comfortable in this outfit. It is perfect for a working day in the studio, shooting, a city walk, and if I don't want to carry a bag. The combination of patterns and soft colours allow me to feel unique and bold, whilst they do not disturb me in any way.
WAVE TOP: 3790 Kč
MATYLDA POCKETS: 5700 Kč
2. Coffee with a friend: Perfect for a date, coffee with a friend, a work meeting. I love dresses over trousers. I feel feminine, yet comfy and cool. Blue trousers and Top Blue combination is super nice with white dress.
BLUE TROUSERS: 4850 Kč
TOP BLUE, LONG SLEEVE: 3490 Kč
3. For a really important business: I really like to layer. A dress over a pair of trousers, a skirt over a dress, or perhaps a shirt over another shirt. People usually appreciate my layered up outfits, and I recommend you try it too. In this outfit, I feel confident, ready to take care of some veeery serious businesses.

Kdyby začalo v tvém studiu, co by ses snažila zachránit?
Emoci překonávání sebe sama neznám, to vyžaduje odsouzení předchozí práce a to nedělám.
Obdivuju propracovanost a myšlenkovou vrstevnatost, kterou TRK kousky mají. Každá věc má nečekaný střih, víc možností nošení, detail, rozpoznatelný print a story. Neméně cením Terezu jako osobnost a profesionála. Jak se cítím v modelech TRK- SPECIAL!
Na závěr nám Markéta vyfotila své nejoblíbenější jídlo. Dobrou chuť.

This one is about me.
]]>TEREZA ROSALIE
For this time, we decided to present you ME, captured again by my beloved Vojtěch Veskrna at our little Prague apartment. You can explore my own TRK selection which I wear and cherish.
On the pictures you can find artworks by Bety Krnanska, David Krňanksý, Alexej Shachov, Maria Makeeva and Vendula Knopová. Plant are from friends, family and Haenke.
Who are you and why do you, what you do?
I am Tereza Rosalie and I am trying to bring into the grey world some colours, joy and playfulness. Because the world around us forms our hearts and souls.
Best travelling experience?
I remember the most from vacations, where everything went wrong. For example my first solo trip abroad. We took a bus to Venice with a friend of mine. Two hours later after our arrival, they stole our backpack with the return tickets (you see, this was way before the internet era). After that we walked the whole day with these large rucksacks on our backs (very ideal for a two-day trip) around the city and could not find accommodation. As two desperate and broke students, we finally found a very overpriced hostel. The next day, reconciled with the fact that we have to buy the bus tickets again, we have missed that night bus.
What did you like to do, when you were little?
I always crafted something, drew, created and also watched the TV a lot. I had this book called “Big book for little masters” and I built everything that was in there :) It’s all ugly though haha. I did not join any school clubs, so I entertained myself alone. I also had a knack for business and traded. I looked for old treasures and tried to give them a second chance at life. For example, when this big container drove by and after it was full, I went and searched through it to find treasures. They were often not well apprised by my surroundings. They did not see any value in a chipped vase or in an old tie. I did not take everything, anything I picked was a curated pick. And it was these treasures that I tried to sell to people around me. Haha, I used to be a better business woman than I am now. At least I definitely had more courage. Or I like to remember my portable flower shop. I used to collect flowers in the meadow or in the forest and various green leaves, twigs and so on. Every item had its own price and was placed in a small vase. After that I went to visit neighbours with this tray of flowers, offering them bindings upon their wishes. For example, I remember one cowslip was 20 pennies. Well, I was just running this local and seasonal flower shop.
Favorite toy?
I was such a collector and I still am, though I really try to control myself. When I was around 8 years old, one of my friends, who was like 55 years old gave me her doll. It’s a small black boy, from a bit firmer papier-mâché/cast… when I got him, he was already missing a piece of his foot. I treasured him, because is fragile. I still have him. I also like my collection of porcelain dinosaurs. My parents had a store with -glass-porcelain, so I often played with elephants without trunks and tried to rescue them. While other kids received plastic dinosaurs, I had porcelain ones. My parents thought it was a good idea, I guess. Nevertheless, everyone survived and T-Rex had it coming now .
Favorite movie/book?
I have a lot of favorite books and movies. Every book or movie reflect the time of my life when I saw it or read it. For the last few years the movie Call me by your name remained in me, along with its soundtrack. I play it at least once a year. And in summer I saw Babyteeth and that has left its mark on me for a long time. Three years ago I have read Patti Smith’s Just Kids and M train (thank you Lenor, it changed my life) for the first time and I have re-read both of them this year. It is a must to read them, and experience it with Patti...
Favorite craft?
I admire all kinds of craftsmanship. The fact that one can make something with his or hers hands fascinates me. I would like to live a lot of lives and be a different kind of craftsman in each of them. I am this little crossover craftsman. :) I love touching materials, materializing thoughts. Miracle.
What would you yet like to try in life?
That’s the thing… I need to be a piano virtuoso, a librarian, a florist and as I said before, I would also need to become a master in 20 different crafts.
What always pleases you?
A flower, anytime.
What kind of flowers do you like?
The ones that are alive, but also the painted ones and the marzipan ones.
What would you like to experience again?
I would like to experience my childhood again, but with the freedom that I have right now. I mean my freedom of thought. A child must do a lot of things, go to school, and grow up. I would like to do the things I find that are good for me. Always.
What did your grandparents/parents teach you?
That it is important to surround yourself with beauty and beautiful things. To not be afraid to be different and embrace that as a strength.
If you could pick in what time period you could be born, which one would you pick and why?
I think it would be great in the prehistory. I could play with those ceramics dinosaurs live!
What motivates you?
Other creative people. When I see someone create something beautiful, I get the urge to create too!
Favorite candy?
Uuu, that’s a tough one… I guess hot chocolate and its kin, cold ice-cream.
Because every meter of material takes tens of hours to produce and we have to travel throughout the whole republic to receive it.
Because it takes a long time to properly and thoroughly search for a waste that has the potential of becoming a beautiful material.
Because we want to emphasize that these are demi-couture pieces that take a lot of time and energy to produce and bring to perfection.
Because we simply love it and 1000 hours does not equal only the length of the production but also the amount of love we put into the whole process
From the beginning:
On the e-shop, you can find individual styles/cuts of jackets and coats. Some are already ready to shop, but most are made to order. We will prepare new styles for you as a part of "TRK 1000 HOURS" with each seasonal collection.
How does selecting a piece from "1000 HOURS" work?
I also cannot fail to mention my partners without whom nothing would be possible, even the sun wouldn’t rise. Netex, Departement of non-woven textiles at Technical University in Liberec, Nová Mosilana and Lanatex.
If you want to come by, try the jacket on and look at the fabrics we have in stock, I will be most happy to welcome you by prior arrangement or we can send you pictures.

Muses are photo essays about inspiring women, my muses, taken by eye of Vojtěch Veškrna and supported by their own drawings and words.
Juliana pro nás připravila hostinu z ovoce a než jsme začali střílet, strávili jsme krásnou hodinu chatováním o umění, jídlem a pití ranní kávy. Pokud by každé ráno bylo takové, nepotřebuji zbytek dní. Čistá radost a duše spojující okamžiky.

]]>JULIE at her QUEENDOM
Julie is with me from the very beginning, always a super supportive customer which I am very happy to call my friend now. She started her TRK collection with a TOP RED and Chanel skirt combo and after that we made some made to measure pieces for her. Julie is a special lady and mysterious agent Mr. Nochi in one. Mr. Nochi is running an agency for Czech and Slovak talented directors of photography. Check them out here.
We met at her Queendom in Prague in the Vinohrady neighborhood, a bit like Montmartre. Julie's flat (and her boyfriend's Filip) is full of lovely retro furniture, shelves with books and magazines and on the walls you will find art pieces from Czech artists. My favourites are: a big painting by Antonie Stanová in the bedroom and a portrait of Grace Kelly by Julie Machová ( 7year old girl, painting for fun) in the kitchen.
